Banana Sunshine Breakfast Smoothie

Hey, Good Looking!

Hope 2013 has been good to you so far! Yesterday I posted to the Chicago Dietetic Association’s blog, featuring a recipe for a “Banana Sunshine Breakfast Smoothie.” It’s only 255 calories, high in protein and fiber, gets you nearly all your daily vitamin C, and contains a good amount of omega-3 fatty acids, which have a very important anti-inflammatory effect in the body. And perhaps best of all – this smoothie can be made ahead of time and refrozen so all you have to do is grab it out of the freezer on your way out the door in the morning!

Please check it out if you have a moment – it’s also a contest. The blogger who can get the most views of their post will receive a cash prize which, as a poor grad student, I could really use. So view it, and if you like what you read, please share it, email the link to your family and friends, or post your feedback and questions in the comment section. Thanks a million!
